Dr. Astrid S. Tuminez was appointed the seventh president of Utah Valley University in 2018. Born in a farming village in the Philippines, she moved with her family to the city, seeking better educational opportunities. Her pursuit of education eventually took her to the United States. Lindsey Larsen is a ballerina, innovator, spokesperson, and teacher. Dedicated to promoting mental and physical health through movement, she coaches Special Olympics DanceSport and collaborates with the Utah County Health Department to advocate for Brain Breaks in schools statewide.
